BarelyThere, welcome.
You will also find "tough love" here, and encouragement to "be all that you can be."
Some opening suggestions:
1. If you still call Watchtower dogma "THE TRUTH," stop doing that! Think of it as "The TROOTH" and remind yourself that trooth-fairies don't exist.
2. It will be difficult, but you do not need the approval of those who offer CONDITIONAL love.
3. The Watchtower has a success record of exactly 0% on EVERYTHING they have ever predicted based on their reading of the Bible.
4. Based on #3, ARMAGEDDON is NOT "closer than the inside of your eyelid." The fear of Armageddon is a cult mind-control technique. Plan to live a full and happy life, beginning NOW.
5. I'm an ATHEIST and APOSTATE. Others here are also, some claim to be neither. Remember that I have never lied to you.
That will do for openers.

Have you looked on eBay?
By "original" I assume you mean "first-edition." You can get a set of SITS from a few of the currently-existing Bible Students organizations, but they are selling the heavily-re-edited "new light" versions of the book.
You may also want to look on abebooks.com (an Amazon company) from time to time. They don't have a complete set right now, just volume 2
1912 edition - $18.00
1911 edition - $67.00
You may also find the inexpensive REPLICA REPRINTS here of interest:

Parallel holidays
by Clambake inso my wife congregation had a huge wing ding on jan. 2 complete with live band / food dancing and alcohol.
yet her company had a yearend party on nov. 15 which she couldn’t go to because it could be perceived as a christmas party.
i am supposed to be worried that the third century church set up a parallel festival with the winter solace to try and get pagans to convert to christianity but they pull crap like this ?

Those idiots think that "abstaining" means "the day before or after is OK." Damned fools!
In their subconscious (or "sub-conscience" as they call it) they know the "rules of men" are flawed, but they lack the spine to call bullshit on it, so they choose to live one step out-of-time with the world they envy.
Close enough for Jehovah's Sundial-like Organization!

No more reporting time for field service!!!
by Khaleesi inso at last i am in my next step of my fade, this month is the first month i did not turned in any hours.
i received a text from our group leader an ms & i told him i didn't have any to report, then of course it got bumped up to the elder & i text him back i have no hours to report for december.
i came to this decision when reading many posters here about the yearbook stats, i do not want & refused to contribute to this organization "boosting" numbers for their glorious purposes, after the rc in australia they do not deserve for me to give them a "production" report of what i do for god, no more.

Mother of Dragons,
Won't they be surprised when you send your babies to "toast" them!
They will be expecting adult beverages but will experience Gehenna!
Peace unto you, Khaleesi.
PS - you can have fun with them by suggesting that if they are uncomfortable with the numbers they could fill in something that makes them feel better. Make them into "unconscious (zombie) apostates!"

There are a handful of geniuses here who seem to think that willingly suffering" (by OTHERS, not by THEM) equates to "storing up treasures in Heaven" or somesuch nonsense.
Some of these appear to be psychologically castrated men who seek the comfort of Mommy's Skirt when things go wrong, while others are man-hating spinster candidates who have never been asked to dance.
I think they enjoy seeing others suffer as a consequence of following their advice.
My advice to the suffering will always be "take responsibility for your situation and CHANGE IT!"
It is refreshing to know there are others who agree with this.

Question about the number 2,520 and the book “New Heavens and a New Earth” (1953)
by Hecce inquestion about the number 2,520 and the book “new heavens and a new earth” (1953).
there is a footnote on page 138 of this book; it has to do with the number 2,520 being a perfect number and the result of multiplying the four perfect numbers in sequence.
i have done the math and it works.

I don't recall that at the moment, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. If the WTB&TS did say that, wouldn't they be practicing NUMEROLOGY?

PS - if you went to the recruiter and told them you were 18 now, they'll forgive you later.
PPS - my apologies to other posters who suggested military service before I did - I didn't read through the entire thread before I posted.
Others have said, "get a job". Doing WHAT? You have no real credentials right now. Unless you seek a career stocking supermarket shelves, you can do better than this.
Others say "Sue the WT!" HOW will you pay your lawyers? Where will you live while you're suing the WT? Bad plan.
Others say, "pursue your education" How will you pay for that education and where will you live?
Talk to your school counselors and ask them what they think of military service. If they discourage you, ignore them and talk to a recruiter. YES, you will have to maintain a "teachable" attitude to make it a success. That is what most recruits do. If you're a jackass, the military will toss you out and you can then follow all these other not-so-excellent ideas.
The military will provide you with housing, training, discipline and loads of other good things if you are smart enough to behave yourself and follow instructions without developing a self-destructive attitude. When you finish you will prepared to manage the rest of your life.

To me this seams like more than a coincidence ...
by Greybeard insorry if this has been discussed before.... for a few days now, this question has been going through my mind.
what was the date the governing body took the sole role of the faithful and discreet slave and how close was it to the end of the mayan calendar in december of 2012?
i looked it up on jwfactes.com and sure enough, checkout the date on this article:.

Greybeard, we are lucky indeed to have you warning us about the dangers of parasites AND that you are a vendor of the remedy!
Your motives are beyond reproach, aren't they?

I like Scully's advice.
Another option, IN MY OPINION, (the caps are for the benefit of those who don't think I should have an opinion that differs from theirs) is this:
Join the military.
Of course, if you're an obese and unintelligent couch-potato, this WILL NOT WORK, because they won't have you.
On the other hand, if you are reasonably fit and reasonably intelligent, this could be an excellent way to provide almost immediate housing and employment for you, AND it has the added benefit of flipping your Dad the Great Big BIRD.
The military will teach you how to be a responsible adult if you avoid linking up with "bad associations."
Depending on how you do on the tests, you could find yourself doing an important job that doesn't put you in harm's way.
People (especially JWs) often think "early death" when they hear "military."
How many kids in your area and of your age die in stupid car accidents or stupid drinking games or bar fights, or from heroin overdoses? All of those are TRUELY meaningless deaths. If you die in the military doing the job you're there to do, your death is not meaningless.
Bot MOST of the folks who enter the military DO NOT DIE! They complete their tours of duty and come back to civilian life with a stronger sense of self and with skills that will continue to serve them.
That's my two cents. YOU are the captain of your ship and the Master of your fate.
Whatever you do, be wise. THINK. Then act with confidence.
